What does ICT (Information Communication Technology" mean to you?

few years ago I did just as that quote states doing something I've never done I used the internet Facebook was most notably used to look up my mother's side of my family and found a few uncles aunts and cousins I would have never knew if it wasn't for a long and curiosity and willingness to do so what is internet communications technology to me it's a connection to my community and work it's an education from far distances but more importantly in my case it's a reunion hey man check your Facebook this is not possible at had four years ago we have come to an age of technology where anything is possible we can be on a hilltop and check our emails Facebook MySpace anything from our mobile devices in a matter of seconds the possibilities are infinite here's an experiment for you to try with the handful of your friends form a circle and get a ball of yarn and pass it in no particular order preferably not a circle treated as a Twitter update or Facebook status so the first person says something impasses the ball to a person of their choice and they replied to it when the ball reaches the last person everyone will be holding a length of yarn all connecting from the first to last person what design did you and your friends come up with that's really not the point it's just a physical example of networking broken down to it's very basic you imagine where we as a people would be without modern communication through technological advances I'd still have a long-lost family what would you be missing out on now what is ICT mean to you

Great job on this video guys! The basic concept focuses on family and that's a powerful motivator to use online social media, but for completeness of disclosure you should also ask "what does In-Q-Tel mean to ICT?". If you understand why In-Q-Tel invested so heavily in facebook, twitter and Visible Technologies you may come to understand social media as part of a data correlation engine for what is often termed "open source intelligence". Don't take my word for it, research it for yourself.
