i7 in itself means nothing, there's a huge difference in performance between them. No word on different types of M.2 interfaces. and I wouldn't advice a glossy screen for working.
    whatever

I am a data analyst. I use an 8 gigs ram i5 system. This is more than enough for small data up to 200000 data points. anything more than 200,000 I upload to saas software from office system and use my laptop to analyse rather than using the system like buying a server. everything I cloud-based nowadays.

I'm confused between MacBook pro 2018 (since now they have 16gb of ram and i9) and Alienware or MSI. I need a laptop for my masters in ML. What will you recommend?

Tensor book review pls. Designed for data science but limited performance for deep learning. The worry is also using the Windows OS. Repeatedly windows based open source software = unavailable or defective or restrictive.

Isn't the XEON Processor a superior CPU over the I7 for Data Analytics? How about the Levono Thinkpad P70 with a Quad Core Xeon Processor fitted with the minimum specs required in this video?

Mate, good video but you gotta mention the processor generation. The 8th gen i7 is worlds appart from the 6th gen for instance. Also, mention that programs like excel utilises multi core CPUs. Also mention that the dell xps 15 had upgradable ram etc

nonsense. why don't u have a supercomputer cooled with nitrogen. Data analysis is not about a powerful laptop rather about how to use the model efficiently and understand the algorithms. I am doing analysis with 8gig ram.

My only issue with the macbook pro is that numbers is a pretty shitty substitute for excel. The excel for mac is below par compared to excel on windows. You can do some pretty impressive data analysis using advanced excel for not too extensive sets of data.

I recommend you ((personally)) and everyone to buy the MacBook Pro 2017 base model 😊 : As the system of this company in it’s products ((scientifically)) worths the extra amount of money it adds ((unlike other companies)) and is characterized by having the best quality , safety and keeping abreast to all fields of life ((unlike other companies which concentrate on one side and neglect the other sides)) ((That is the scientific proof for me)) 😊😊😊

Hey Ben! A new subscriber here! What about ThinkPad P series workstations? Do Nvidia Quadro graphics cards have an advantage/disadvantage over GeForce cards when it comes to neural networks and support vector machines computation?

Sorry but I gotta call you out. These are overpriced super thin/stylish "ultra books". You can get normal form factor laptops (not super thin) with much much better specs for significantly cheaper. Also who is going to take data analysis advice from someone who literally cant pronounce nvidia?
