allen pan Because Science blood spikes fatality gaming Kyle Hill mortal kombat 11 Nerdist skarlet video games
Thanks for watching! I see a lot of Super Nerds already having a problem with the methods. 1. We're modeling magic. 2. We didn't freeze water/blood because they aren't frozen in the game and we'd have to justify that. Freezing the blood doesn't fit with what we see on-screen. 3. You can see that, with the exception of the blood spike that she pushes, all of the spikes fall from a height and embed themselves like projectiles. That's what we were modeling. 4. Slowly pushing a fluid into a fluid is not possible or effective. — kH
Where does the saying come from? "Magic is just science we haven't learned yet". Something like that?
Oh that’s boring, use some deer blood or something
I'm not too keen on the way this was done. I think others have covered the blood analog that I don't need to say anything about that. What I'm more concerned with is actually how the blood weapons where treated as projectiles.
Now, I don't play MK, so forgive me if I'm wrong. But you noted she uses telekenetics to control blood. If that's the case, why would you treat the blood as a projectile? From the clip you used, she isn't "firing" blood at the target, she is hammering it into the target. (Think: Hammer vs Nailgun).
Basically, instead of firing blood projectiles at the target, the blood should have been solidified and forced into the target with a constant force.Granted, you can't analog telekenetics. There are so many factors here that you cannot experiment with such as the force of which the blood is being held together as well as the force of which the blood weapon is penetrating the target.
The experiment that was run here doesn't really give any constructive results to the proposed question.
I was honesty thinking you were going to get pigs blood, freeze it, then shoot, that would had been the closest thing to replicating the blood spikes.
It's an interesting take either way you look at it, why do you have to hate. It reminds me of what they do with the Man At Arms series with Danny Tejo
Would you rather them use animal blood? Then they get hating from the animal activist in the room
Skarlet: forms red scytheRhaast: Kayn….i'm in love!Kayn: To that girl?Rhaast: NO, IDIOT!Kayn: Don't dare say, to that Scythe!Rhaast: Then i won't say!
Blood has iron, but water doesn't. Personally I would look into how much blood would wight to get a better reading
She probably pushes the spikes in with said psychic powers
Considering that Skarlet can hold blood in the air, her power is more like an invisible hand holding the blood and then stab it into the opponent. So we are talking about a human thrusting a spear , not a human throwing a spear. So there is constant pressure here, maybe?
Yeah but because scarlett uses some sort of kenisis, than that means she can force the projectile through her target, not just the initial force from launching it
Lol why would skarlett care about taking too much blood in MORTAL KOMBAT!?!?!!? The whole point is to kill your opponent
You might has well have done another sub zero episode
In order to make something solid from liquid, you would have to cool down the liquid. So the blood spikes could be possible even though the idea sounds stupid.
I want that canon
The plastic case is doing all the job
It isn’t blood so failed experiment right off the bad
Btw there is iron in human blood so maybe she makes the iron more dense for it to work (edit) she also probably keeps the blood of fallen aponents which in turn she would have enough iron and blood to make her tools
The fight intro was cringy 😖
Should have called it the Blood Cannon.
God you're the definition of retard
That guy looked way too happy filling the blood spikes
How did even get blood oooh I forgot minion
How about jades bo staff and the ability to chop of a limb
Love the idea …I wonder if firing it from the same top down angle would do more damage using the plastic water/blood analogue ..not a scientist so I don’t know if it would or not.. Just my 2 cents ✌️❤️
Basically a better version of Blood Bending
2:40 guess we're just gonna forget about platelets.
Kyle should be an mk11 character
So why didnt you try freezing the "blood"
I find kinda curious that the "blood"was encapsulated in plastic, in game it looks solid but what doesn't tell us she is using some kind of physcokinetic force to pressurize the blood and make it cut through
Also more than initial force the blood simply keeps going, another good test would've been to push the "blood dart" into the body with some kind of press
Did you guys consider that skarlet May be able to change the blood density to hold it
ебать хуйня нахуй
This makes my skin crawl
There's a fundamental problem here. Scarlet uses her powers to not only draw out and shape the blood but also to continuously propel it and hold it together.
Maybe you should have frozen the "blood" rather than use a glorified water balloon haha.
Pls make shao Kahn’s hammer and see if it can do damage just like in the mk11 game
why do i feel like if an actual animal would be put up against these things the outcome would different
Am I the only one who watches only his mk videos and no other
Guess they never heard the old saying”blood is thicker than water”
I'm feeling a little woozy here– stu
So they launched plastic. With water in it. So…they're just putting weight into plastic.
just use animal blood lol what's the big deal
You have never had blood magicAnd never had real blood so this is not accurate
M 11 k. 👏👏👏👋👏👏👏👏👋👋👋👋👋👋👋
Should have trired freezing the blood because she crystalizes the blood
FIVE MINIONS BODYS LATER
Ok so here whe got our blood sword
"wow it's beautiful " timid little "thank you" off screen… no one else wonders what was really going on?
I just wanna point out that Scarlett can hold the spike together while she's pushing it through people, so it doesn't break. And she's applying constant force while pushing it through
9:31 welcome to spike tv
MK science: uses water insted of blood
Random dued who wants to see if blood is magnetic:uses pigs blood
Found what Thor does after endgame
Blood may be mostly water, but it contains other things like Iron in it which water doesn't have nearly as much of.
I think if the liquid was frozen it would have more structural stability and possibly penetrate better and keep it closer to the first test
Noooo, it’s age restricted! Oh well, see you in two years
"Whoa… Its beau teh foll…"I had to smash the like button
D'Vora has blue “blood“ 🙄
I'd offer my blood for the experiment
The minions thing is cringe, just being honest
They make me cringe. Stop talking like ur on a kids show wtf!!!
While it is not her power to freeze anything, I believe that freezing the blood analog would have produced a different result.
This is not what I donated my blood for !! The needle hurts GOD DAMNIT
freezing isnt okay but put the blood on a recipient is nice!
Just us real blood
I love dis episode
If Skarlet was using blood magic to fire those spikes at 9mm bullet speed, then she'd be like Stryker.
Nah, I'm just kidding! There's no way any character in Mortal Kombat could ever be that lame.
B E H O L D ! ! !
Yes next time real human blood and sacrifi…. uh just the blood.
Just replace the word science with magic and all questions are answered
Am I the only one to realize that when you have the ability to drain someone's blood that fast there is no reason to bother making it into a weapon? Actually, why even bother draining it, if you can psychokinetically control the movement of blood, then you can psychokinetically control the movement of people.
Basically just shot ballistics gel with a gun
It’s possible that skarlet doesn’t just just force the blood into the correct shape, but she might be putting enough force into it to make it a complete solid, therefore making it more dense. What you should have done is figured out how dense this pressurized blood would be and make a material similar to that density
well in the game she says to fighters some times i want your blood so wouldn’t that mean that she already has enough blood on her to work with without having to completely drain her opponent
I think the casing for the blood shards affect the penetration as the spikes in the game were much sharper and would therefore be easier to penetrate.
So lets just replace water with anything else bc the concept is stupid"
Hm he reminds me of grant from myth busters
Hama would be proud of Skarlett.
Seriously red food dye in water. Any fluid with a protein-rich compostion like blood would have many physical properties that dye would not be able to replicate accurately, and its not that difficult to synthesize such a fluid at those volumes
wish I could watch it
You should have used iron not steel. Stell is stronger than iron, so iron would be more accurate. Or atleast in my perspective
3:29 Nice reference there.
So… Red water… This is mor like a Sub Zero's fatality then Skarlet O.o
I really like this series, too many people call out how your experiments aren’t accurate enough, but these vids are interesting and fun to watch. I envy your job….lol.
you should have froze the water to keep the same material in a crystal structure. it wouldnt have worked but it was teh next step
Water and food coloring does not have a coagulant in it, so the test results aren't going to be quite the same. I would suggest some gelitin for simulation purposes. That would have helped it stay in the form casing. The accuracy in relation to the game would diminish still though, as blood does not coagulate immediately.
You guys are enjoying this way to much
If your going to do it right use real blood. Blood is denser and 4 times more viscid than water, you would have a better chance of frozen blood going deeper than just colored water. If your gonna do these experiments for science, then do them right.
I thought Kyle would extract his own blood to use. FOR SCIENCE!!!
Thinking the F=MA equation, you need more force. To get more force you need more mass or acceleration, and to keep with the game speed, the character could have used more blood and compressed it down to how you have the steel/epoxy.
Starlet as a master of blood manipulation, she can condense as much blood as possible as much as she wants. And since the opponent is presumably dying at the end of the match anyways, she could take almost ALL the blood out and she could leave them just enough to be alive to feel what is happening to them.
Blood Analogs, not even frozen, let alone compacted to get closer to the real density that blood might have. I am disappointed.
Well there's a reason that blood went through because she's using telekinesis so she's forcing it through the body
I would think that Scarlet being able to control the blood the way she does it would be more like stabbing and driving the spikes into her opponent using the downward momentum rather than shooting them. 🥰🥰🥰🥰 Keep up the great work. We love it!
Blood bending earth bending and Toph would make a great episode, hell the whole avatar bending elements I would love to see because science style.
Iron and sugar in the blood… and magic…
Space magic always cheats….
If her psychic powers are compressing the blood into the correct shape could they not also compress a larger volume of blood to the necessary density.
Would it matter if the projectiles were being pushed rather than simply hurled? I'd think that if she's using telekinesis she could apply driving force throughout the length of the shot rather than just applying a bunch of force at the front end of the attack and letting the shot fly.
Why doesn’t she just pull all their blood out? That would put an end to the fight really quick. And I thought blood was thicker than water… And blood coagulates water doesn’t so wouldn’t that also effect the strength of the blood spikes?
