Raspberry Pi 4 Reviewed: The New Gold Standard for Single-Board Computing

with over 25 million units sold Raspberry Pi is the gold standard in single board computers and now the PI Foundation is taking this to the next level with a Raspberry Pi 4 we were one of the few outlets to have early access to this amazing new device and we want to tell you about it so first of all you'll notice that it's got a brand new processor that's based on a 28 nanometer process it runs at 1.5 gigahertz on four cores but it also uses a new cortex a 72 microarchitecture that is that allows for much faster processing than the prior generation Raspberry Pi 3 B+ besides that it's got support for USB 3 which means a much faster input/output when you attach peripherals it also has dual micro HDMI out so it can do dual monitors and it can support 4k video at up to 60 Hertz 4k resolution so you can use this on your heist on your high-definition television besides that this has up to 4 gigabytes of RAM which is also first for esri Pi which means that you can use this in a pinch as your desktop computer we just wouldn't recommend having 20 tabs open in your browser but this is definitely going to be a revolution in what you can do with your Raspberry Pi you're going to be able to do better AI stuff you're going to be able to do better retro gaming but as of this moment you may have to wait a few days for everybody to catch up because most people have most of the developers who build the cool software haven't even had access to this yet for Tom's Hardware I'm Avram pilch
