    When I was stationed in Turkey I visited a gypsy stone house that was stacked field stones and earthen / clay mortar. The American who took us there asked us how old we thought the house was. I thought maybe 10 years or so. It was 900 years old. The Gypsies used it as a lodge when they were taking their flocks hither and thither.
