At the moment I’m dead set on being a watchmaker,
which is quite niche, but the course at the moment i’m thinking will really help me with
the physics units, the electrical units – it just supplies a really good understanding
of engineering as a whole. And also with project work, we will develop our time management
skills, and those will really help for working in the wider world with a company.
I would recommend the BTEC because it covers a wide range of material and that will be
really helpful in the future for a lot of jobs. I would also recommend it because of
the way it’s assessed in units. That makes it really flexible, and you can use it to
your best advantage and play to your strengths.
