You can also build your own cloud. It will be more costly, but the security will be way better than using a popular cloud providers. Example is NextCloud or OwnCLoud.

In a few years, when all the people have moved to the cloud, the companies will be to kidnap our data, and increase exponentially the costs and make imposible to come back. It's an estrategy that for now it's cheap, but lot of people will be sorry with this.

Good, easy explanations; however, you need to work a bit on the grammar and some corrections. It’s on-premises. Not on-premise. Pool, of proof. Also security concern is mitigated by the cloud service provider. They more likely have better security measures than the average small business owner. I.e. Microsoft 365 Exchange online definitely has better security in place then the average small to medium size business, even better than some large enterprises that I have been at. Another advantage is that if the Internet at your HQ goes down, all of your cloud services are still up and running. Overall, the ROI is worth it. PS those automatic updates are a pro and a con. Microsoft makes changes to office 365 very frequently; not all of them for the better.

I believe public cloud will be more and more popular but the hybrid mode will be a common existence in the future. Furthermore, technology nowadays allows seamless hybrid cloud – it means that public and private cloud can exchange data seamlessly.
