Consumers have a duty and responsibility to safeguard the proprietary information under their control from the clear and present danger associated with cloud computing or Internet use. Accordingly, an organization should not use cloud computing or the Internet for data or information it cannot afford to lose or cannot protect. If it decides to do so in the presence of the known risks, it must be prepared to accept the consequences for stepping over the red line.

I can't believe a security expert (?) would suggest that the risk is lower in the cloud and that no-one else on the round table actually pulled him up on it. The point is that if you put data into the cloud you (as an organization, and owner of that data) have no visibility of how that data is managed nor do you have any ability to influence any risk. After that all credibility was lost and I struggled to even provide feedback, uhg.
