Electronic Tattoo – Science of Innovation

from MRIs to EKGs sonograms to scanners medical technology allows doctors to monitor vital information about the inner workings of the human body imagine if some of these machines can be made so thin light and portable they could be attached right to the surface of your skin and go wherever you go there's some very sophisticated device functionality sitting on my skin now to nsf-funded innovators have done just that by engineering something called an electronic tattoo a micro electronic health monitor that has the potential to revolutionize the field of healthcare technology the electron has always been Richard to make electronic flexible that's quite a challenge the path taken by John Rogers and Hume Gong Huang to develop the electronic tattoo is an example of how collaboration is often a key or critical part of the innovation process it all started in 2005 when both men worked at the University of Illinois at urbana-champaign and Huang happened to stop by a lecture Rodgers was giving on campus and we started talking and we find John's work very fascinating and gentle find my work on mechanics useful so naturally the 12th evolved in and worked together at the time of their first encounter Rogers a material scientists and electrical engineer was looking for new ways to use electronic circuits formed on the surface of silicon silicon is a natural semiconductor that has electrical properties between that of a conductor a material in which an electrical charge can flow freely and an insulator a material that doesn't conduct an electrical charge at all semiconductors are the heart of most electronics today so in a very simple level you can use a semiconductor like Silicon as a switching element to turn electricity off or on Kuang a mechanical engineer who has since moved to Northwestern University specializes in the mechanics of curvilinear materials which have surfaces that are wavy corroding your surface means it's a service that's not flat that's not the for example my hat the surface is current in here by combining their fields of expertise to hatch the initial idea of the tattoo they set out to manufacture a prototype something that has taken about seven years and multiple breakthroughs to produce while the key thing is to make the electronics as flexible as possible that can follow the skin morphology the first breakthrough happen when they figured out how to slice off the surface layer of a silicon wafer this new technique resulted in silicon that could Bend just like this single sheet of paper next they discovered how to make silicon elastic allowing it to be either flat or wavy in shape suddenly you have a form of silicon that they can bend and stretch can deform it can coat and conform to curvilinear shapes very much like biological tissues even though it is called a tattoo there is no need to pierce or puncture the skin instead the device sticks on so what we can do then is we can take this device laminated on the skin almost like a children's temporary transfer tattoo to figure out how to engineer this Rogers and Wong look to nature noting how easily lizards stick to walls like gecko and others they can use it attached to us wore and either let that go so for us we want to borrow some of that idea and to mix it electronic not using glue to have strong adhesion with the skin once attached it can wirelessly detect electrical signals from inside the body such as those given off by cells within the heart that cause it to contract and pump blood through its four chambers this particular device is powered inductively so there's a coil here I can bring a wireless power supply in proximity to this device and deliver power to it through the air Rogers and Wong filed at least 10 different patent applications with the US Patent and Trade mark office to protect their invention before commercializing it patents allow inventors to require what are known as intellectual property rights to their inventions for limited periods of time the intellectual property is absolutely crucial and if that's not done carefully and thoughtfully and if you don't really have distinctively new ideas that are well separated from things that people have tried in the past it won't be viable you won't be able to commercialize it a startup company called MC 10 has licensed the multiple patents and patent applications and is developing a new generation of flexible healthcare devices why doing mechanics work I never thought that would have so much interaction with electric engineers or mature scientists but now it's really at the interface we could create new devices and never existed before innovation brought to life by a unique and long-lasting collaboration that has the potential to stretch the limits of modern healthcare technology you

Well done Dr.Rogers;that is amazing work,I've told Al my co-ed.The one thing you need to be careful with is which person you put in charge of that person's chip inside of rhem. You don't want a smoker, nor someone that could harm them.I think you need to call on the Powerline a little bit more.GOD BLESS & AMEN!! Medicine is great and does save lives but we all can't live forever and at end of the day only God determines our fate. This isn't exactly the mark of the beast but we're not far off it.

As predicted about 2000 years ago by the apostle John……..revelation13 vers 15-18
15 And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.
16 And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:
17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.
18 Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.

maybe this is it … who knows….

Any technology can be used for good or evil. Knives for hunting and making useful things vs knives for killing one another, industry to provide a needed utility or resource, or to improve quality of life vs industry solely for personal wealth, nuclear energy vs nuclear bombs, etc. Technology is a tool. This technology can potentially be used for evil or good (or, realistically, for both), just like any other. Why not advocate for using it properly instead of dismissing the entire thing? I'm writing this in response to many of the comments here.

This isn't the Mark of the Beast.

We talk about this all the time, yet we don't get to the heart of it.

The mark of the Beast will probably use this type of technology, but by no means is it currently used or developed as such.

4:15   "I can bring a wireless power supply in proximity to this device and deliver power to it through the air".This is Tesla's technology.  He invented just that, a wireless power supply that broadcasted power through the air..  you only needed an antenna..  So instead of having what Tesla had dreamed, a free energy for all, we had years of weaponization of the tech instead..  now, finally when there is a useful tracking purpose, it can be sold to us..  go spend your money if you like, it'll be cool..  well, it's cool when you have the new stuff first, but when everyone has it, well it's just gonna be a drag, I tell ya..

Hahaha look at them trying to be innovative… Since they know no one will get chips implanted because we know its the mark of the beast they made wearable ones that they will say we don't have to get it only of wet wasn't it to make it seem like it is our choice but slowly they will stop accepting credit cards or any other form of payment so you will have to get one and be a slave to it. They know if its implants we will rise and fight against then but this is a quieter easier way for them to get us to accept the mark of the beast smh beware!!

Important applications of this technology could using the tatoos as tracking systems by governments ( know where everyone is at all times! ) , and in the far future control of your whole body. But health monitoring application sounds like a reasonable start.
