A look into the future with Memory-Driven and Cloudless Computing

as I said earlier we are experiencing an exponential increase in data from explosion of the data sources the opportunity are endless but in today's world you cannot afford to wait 48 hours to get to the answers but then a customer problem is a crisis an opportunity is lost a competitive threat is missed and there are other challenges data is dynamic distributed and constrained by sheer size by privacy or data sovereignty regulations but actors are multiplying they are skilled motivated and well-funded and finally right way we need infrastructure to keep up getting faster than ever Morris law is ending we saw this coming and decided to act on it two years ago we showed you the machine prototype the biggest single memory computer ever built we proved memory driven computing works then we launched HP Superdome flags massives share memory is changing the game in Alzheimer research in genomics in cybersecurity and in financial modeling I stood up on this stage a year ago and said that the memory driven computing is driving all our roadmaps so today I'm excited to announce that we are offering the memory driven computing development kits based on the legendary HP ProLiant platform open fabrics operating at the speed of memory lets you freely compile combined compute accelerators and memory from enclosure to rack and Beyond over a ultra-fast photonic mesh to create endless new possibilities for AI IOT augmented reality and more I'm excited to see what you can do with this amazing technology and I am pleased to announce that we are now taking orders on HP ProLiant with a memory driven activity and what we can do together in the next few years memory driven computing is the old composable architecture but I and my team believe it is not enough I believe we need to transform the entire approach to how software is built delivered and consumed we need to radically simplify and democratize the way developers and users access tools services and data the powers today's enterprise applications and it needs to be a solution that's secure transparent and pervasive a new approach to obliterates the distinction between publicness and privateness and leverages the full source of the vibrant cloud native computing development community for the benefits of all in five to ten years from now the world will still be hybrid but the illusion of interconnection will be replaced by the reality the result is the agility and simplicity of cloud together with secure interoperability across clouds which is why we call this new vision cloudless with cloudless clouds don't go away but the walls between them do and this is important to understand cloud is an experience is not a destination and partnering with the open-source community we want to make that experience open to all you may be wondering how does cloud let's work while others are stitching together components we are waving a comprehensive vision where openness agility diversity and transparency are paramount our cloudless vision is woven from three fabrics trust connectivity and value first the trust fabric is based on zero trust Phil talked about that meaning it allows only uncompromised devices fully validated after and encrypted data to move so the parts of your world that you don't control can hurt you this is how the clouds today work but why not make it open and standard to all when that happens the other guys thought in software-defined perimeters for security are wasting their time what is needed is a world without arbitrary perimeters there are that is a testable and secure why is HP the right company to enable a trust fabric they are already more than a million ProLiant servers today they have the comprehensive silicon root of trust technology necessary to deliver a zero trust infrastructure framework no one else in the industry even comes close second the connectivity fabric will provide automatic intelligent resilience connectivity across every datacenter in all clouds all the way out to every device on the edge build on composable fabric this is the next key to dissolve the public and private cloud boundaries and last we won't deliver this on our own we will leverage our relationship with all of you our customers and partners and most critically the open source community to form what we call the value fabric which is really the ecosystem that will enable all of this just as memory driven computer will ignite a new wave of innovation in compute I believe the value fabric will unleash new communities partnership opportunities and monetization models that cannot exist in the world garden cloud model of today did you know there are over 700 cloud native companies worth seven trillion dollars today delivering every essential component of modern enterprise and edge applications with cloudless that number will explode an entirely new form of consuming and painful resources you need will be at the core delivery model so who is this good for I believe is good for everyone for cloud native startups tool developers in is vs it enables a truly open marketplace it is a no-brainer for enterprises because cloudless creates a path for you to gain the richness and pace of innovation of the cloud bare metal virtual machines containers services cloudless anything cloudless everything cloudless will search your enterprise free for my team free to innovate to people your business on a dime fast forward five years from now cloudless is the way the world works and memory driven computing is what the world works on what does that a lock real-time supply chain real-time customer status real-time financials real-time everything you may think this is impossible it is not with cloudless and memory driven computing consume where and how you choose it is more than possible and I believe it is the future HPE with our partners and the open source community will deliver the foundation to make it possible so you may be asking when this is going to happen I will show it to you next year here on stage
