If you wonder what the particles are see if a magnet will attract them. Then you will have somewhat of a better idea where they might have came from. I have a feeling that the particles may have gotten into the old mechatronic unit and may even get into the new one unless the they are removed completely and the cause of it fixed if it is possible.

Hi, I am having the same issue on my car. It is the same year as the one in your video. I own a 2011 Mk6 GTI. I tried looking for a mechatronic but VW said that it was discontinued. My DSG code is also MSY, but I do not have any luck in finding a MMA or a MSY. I dont know much about VW in general and I was wondering if you could give me some guidance on what to do. My mechatronic code (02E-325-025-AL-ZJ0) is different from the one in the video. I am not sure what to do if I cannot find a used DSG. I am trying to look for a low milage one just as the one in the video. Please can someone help

Hello guy! Hope you doing fine. I've a transmission issue with my VW Tiguan 2.0 TSI 4 motion year 2011 with a DSG 7 inside. It never shifts over D2 and there is a wrench symbol blinking on the board. They told me that my mechatronic is dead and should be replaced but I've some doubt because sometimes after some setup by the mechanic with its diagnostique toolkit, everything works again for a short while. Please, may I have some advices from you, inbox ?

Your presentation is to be commended. I have a Q5 Audi and had problems with my reverse . System was re calibrated at 74k kls and it has caused me the same problem now at 79k KLS. The problem has been diagnosed in mechatronics with a cost now to be $3,500. Judging from various comments in the web Audis and VW seem to have a common problem. What is your opinion and do u think the cost to repair is reasonable.

Aluminum Oxide, this is the real reason why car manufacturers love using aluminum. The transmission ground is corroded? Since aluminum oxide is not magnetic it keep circulating around to sand every moving part

Do you know which DSG transmission codes are interchaneable? I have a 2010 Jetta with a LQZ transmission code but they are hard to find, if I sourced the gearbox from another car could I simply swap out my mechatronic unit? it has recently been replaced but did not fix the issue.

Did you have to flash the transmission since you switched transmissions since it's two different mechatronics

You had to replace the all of the gearbox. These metal chips come from the wheels of the gearbox and not from the mechatronic

Hello, I've recently bought a Passat with a dsg box. The black box on the side of the box what is that? What's behind it? It's at the front of my box behind the radiator. Basically the car has been in an accident and a pipe has pushed and half crushed the black box. Oil has leaked out so now When I put the car in D or R it doesnr move just flashes. Can anyone give me any ideas please.

Great Vid, Um, that's My Engine? I have a 2010 Jetta, I need this service, But I too am now also hoping it's just the Mechtronics. Like I know that might cost me 1300 Bucks, But what did this whole Project cost to the client ? How much were these repairs? I will keep my eyes covered when i get my bill…. Im already feeling faint.

Where is the source of the actual metal shavings? Did you eventually find out?

The fluid itself looks good (other than the shavings)

Hi! I am driving a VW CC 2,0 TSI with 113k KM, currently I have never face any mechatronic issues, but it does make a loud clunk sound when I engage the gear from N to D. After replacing clutch pack the loud clunk came back again after 30k KM drive, does this GTI 2011 produce a loud clunk when engaging gear?
